What is non-medical care?
Non-medical care includes assistance with daily tasks and companionship, focusing on enhancing the quality of life without medical interventions.
What types of services do you provide?
We offer a range of non-medical services including personal care, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and assistance with most other daily living activities.
How do we get started?
It all begins with a conversation between one of our care coordinators and either the client or their authorized representative, typically a family member or friend. During this call, we gather essential information about your loved one and their requirements, while also sharing our recommendations with you. We may also suggest an assessment meeting, which is optional, where you, your loved one, and our care coordinator can come together to gather and discuss more specific details not easily conveyed over the phone or email. This meeting might also involve introducing a potential caregiver for the client, allowing the family to meet and engage in conversation. Once this meeting is concluded, we can initiate our services upon your approval.
Do you provide free in home care assessments?
Yes. This is a great opportunity for us to discover and discuss the details about your loved one’s needs and to prepare recommendations and a care plan. It also allows us to to get to know each other and feel comfortable before initiating services.
Can we choose our caregiver?
Absolutely. We will carefully select a caregiver based on your loved one’s requirements and personality and then introduce them during our free assessment or in a follow up meeting. The client makes the final decision on the choice of caregiver.
What areas do you provide home care services?
We proudly serve the South Seattle, WA area and surrounding communities, ensuring accessible and reliable home care services.

How do you ensure quality care?
We regularly monitor our services and conduct client feedback sessions to maintain and improve the quality of care we provide.
Who hires the caregiver?
We directly hire all of our caregivers. They are not directly hired by clients.
Who pays the caregiver?
Since we hire our own caregivers, we pay them directly and take care of all related taxes and insurance.
What kind of screening do you do on caregivers?
All of our caregivers are put through a very rigorous and detailed screening procedure. It includes in-person interviews, validating caregiver training and experience, reference checks, DMV check and criminal background check.
Payment
Who pays the caregiver?
Since we hire our own caregivers, we pay them directly and take care of all related taxes and insurance.
What forms of payment do you take?
Our agency is a private pay home care company. We accept any form of private payment, including checks, credit cards and proceeds from long term care insurance policies that may cover our services.
Do you take Medicare or Medicaid?
No, we are not a provider of services paid for by private health care benefits or state Medicaid.

No, Elmcroft Home Care is a locally established, owned and operated business.
What happens in case of an emergency or urgent issue?
We have a care supervisor on call to handle urgent matters and emergencies. We are always available with our 24/7, 365 days a year on call service.
